Is there gonna be a new tournament?

A series of scandals and rumours have linked the Ball Boyz with a possible failure in recruiting in a spring tournament and therefore we might not ever see the Boyz in action again. However this is just rumour and the Boyz, but with the long term injuries of Rombelli and Torti, and the soon to be departure of the latter to Gordonstone FC for an undisclosed fee is imminant as he has already signed a contract. Rombelli was set to depart but then stated to the fans "This is my club, and im not leavinig for any money or any team."
However, Piazzi is set to go to Csi and get informed on a future tournament.
In other news, the Boyz are set to capture Uberto Gnocchi (striker), Benji Franji (defender) and Niccolo Jandoli (midfielder) to bolster their team.

History of the Ball Boyz

2005-06: The Ambrogini Team was founded in Via Pietro Tamburini at 3pm on Tuesday the 27th of September. The team's maiden competition was the prestigious 'Cimiano Cup.' The team included the likes of future players Alessandro Indaimo, Federico Torti, Thomas Worden and Jacopo Fioravanti. However, the team experienced mixed success in the tournament and following the resignation of the club president, the team went into liquidation.

2007-08: Two of the organizers of the Ambrogini Team, Federico Torti and Alessandro Indaimo, moved to the S. Vincitore team, a squad from the San Vittore Church in Milan. S. Vincitore competed in the 'Torneo Maserati', a soccer tournament organized by the S. Ambrogio Cathedral in Milan, but in two years the team didn't manage to achieve any considerable results.

2009-10: The club was finally bought out and administrators Torti, Indaimo and Worden decided to compete in the Maserati tournament with a brand new name, the "Snake Team", inspired by the historical symbol of Milan, the python. The trio were also joined by Giacomo Rombelli, who would later feature for the Ball Boyz. The team, composed of old players from the Ambrogini Team and new recruits, reached the Maserati Cup Final and just missed out on silverware.

2010-11: A new sponsorship deal rebranded the team name as "The Panino's." The new foreign investors wanted immediate success and invested heavily in the club, signing the likes of Ludovico Liberali, Edoardo Pediconi, Oliver Enderle, Gabriele Lunetta, Niccolo Rapisarda and his younger brother Lodovico, who would later play for the Ball Boyz. Uberto Gnocchi, Pietro Piazzi, Alessandro Frione, Giovanni Mazzaro and Davide Ravaccia, who all went on to feature for the Boyz also started out their careers at the Panino's. The club then went on to win the Maserati Trophy with ease.

2011-12: The previous year's success brought Torti to undertake a serious challenge: that of setting up a team that would compete in one of Italy's most prestigious tournaments, the CSI (Centro Sportivo Italiano). It took a whole month for Torti, in cooperation with Indaimo and Worden, to complete the paperwork, find sponsors, strike a deal with a kit supplier, agree on a name, create a logo, find a home ground and obviously put together a team of motivated and skilled players from across the globe. We were proud to be the only team entirely organized by minors in the CSI's history. The team was branded as the Ball Boyz.

2012-13: With the departure of the team captain Torti, the Ball Boyz were left in the capable hands of Worden, who took over all the administrative work as well as managing the club for a second year running. The likes of Torti and Rombelli were replaced by Uberto Gnocchi, Lodovico Rapisarda, Gabriele Tabarelli, Tommaso Tugnoli and Andre Benjamin Frangi, the new captain. The team participated in the winter tournament as in the previous season, but for the first time in the club's history it signed up for the spring tournament. The team achieved better results than the previous year and considering it had been playing with teams two or even three years older than most of the squad, it really has to be considered a successful year for the club. At the end of the season, the Ball Boyz participated in the Aspis Challenge cup. Despite losing their first encounter 7-4, the Boyz still managed to qualify for the final , which the they were able to win comfortably, 3-1. The trophy, lifted by the two captains in the tournament: Pietro Piazzi and Thomas Worden, was the first in Ball Boyz history and the third since the team was founded in 2005.
